Sportradar is a leading provider of sports data and content globally, with a focus on delivering innovative and reliable solutions for sports federations, media companies, bookmakers, and the entertainment sector. The company offers a range of products and services that allow customers to access and use real-time data, statistics, and insights about a wide variety of sports, including football, basketball, tennis, and baseball, among others. In this article, we will explore how ScorePlay integrates with Sportradar to build the best-in-class digital asset management solution.
When we first started ScorePlay, one of the main pain points for sports organisations in organising their media was the simple task of creating every new folder for every new event they had. Simple perhaps, but extremely time-consuming and inefficient. Toulouse FC presented us with the challenge, and we searched for a way of integrating every client’s calendar directly into their platform so every event was created automatically. We got rid of folders, and implemented our new events-based logic with every game, training, press conference etc. added automatically thanks to Sportradar.
Their state-of-the-art data source gives our platform the ultimate integration that provides every client with the media infrastructure they deserve, without the hassle of creating them individually. ScorePlay pulls every event and automatically creates it on the platform. As soon as an asset is added, this ‘folder’ becomes a full-fledged event ready to be populated with curated content.
One of the key aspects of ScorePlay’s unique platform is the AI-tagging of athletes, which is all done automatically thanks to our sports-specific facial recognition. When a client signs up, their entire roster of players, athletes etc., are added automatically to the platform with Sportradar’s integration. With their huge expanse of data from hundreds of different sports, they are in a unique position to help every ScorePlay client have an updated lineup of athlete’s profiles. Moreover, post transfer window when an organisation has lost or signed athletes, or promoted from the academy, Sportradar automatically updates the roster. New players are automatically tagged with AI and previous athletes continue being in the system and remain searchable forever.
The centralisation, classification and distribution of sports media assets needs to be consolidated on a single platform for a seamless real-time experience free of manual bottlenecks. Long has the sports media landscape relied on a variety of tools that crowd creative teams and disrupt a logical efficient workflow (from PhotoShelter, Dropbox or Newsbridge for storage, and Greenfly for distribution).
The new generation of sports fans demand social-media-ready content in real-time as they consume, and having an all-in-one solution allows sports organisations to be reactive, versatile and adept in their content strategy. ScorePlay automates the centralisation, classification and distribution of assets with AI. A media hub built for the sports industry.
Every user can easily browse the photos or videos they need and incorporate them seamlessly into whatever story they are crafting, from club-photographer content, to UGC all through ScorePlay Pulse. Storytelling simplified, collaborative photo and video sharing made easy.
