New York City, NY - October 14, 2026 - ScorePlay and LucidLink today announced a partnership that speeds up the sports edit, putting selected footage from ScorePlay onto an editor’s desktop in one click, wherever they are working. The two companies demonstrated the first integration together at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam.
Sports content is made by crews spread across venues, cities and time zones, and the media they need lives in the cloud. Reaching it still means waiting on a download or a physical copy onto an SSD drive. Across a match weekend those downloads add up, and faster access to the desktop edit is one of the most consistent requests ScorePlay hears from customers running remote and freelance editorial teams.
ScorePlay captures, tags and organises media as it lands, identifying the player, the fixture, the sponsor and the venue. Unlike traditional cloud storage or file transfer tools, LucidLink streams data on demand, keeping editors perfectly in sync allowing them to work without downloading or duplicating files. Together the two close the loop. A producer selects an asset or a collection in ScorePlay and sends it into the organisation's own LucidLink filespace, where it arrives in the same structure and opens straight into Premiere or any other tool on the desktop.
The integration runs on LucidLink Connect, which links ScorePlay's existing cloud storage into the filespace: files are referenced in place, not copied, so they stream from storage the organisation already pays for with no second copy created.
For a team running both, the library and the edit stop being two separate jobs. Rushes tagged at a fixture reach a freelance editor on another continent as fast as somebody can click send. For a big archive project, a producer can search years of footage in ScorePlay, select exactly what the edit needs, and have it waiting in a clean folder on the mounted drive, ready for the team to cut.
The integration is built on ScorePlay Connect, ScorePlay's open platform for partner integrations. Organisations bring their own LucidLink account and authorise the connection with their own credentials, so they keep control of their storage throughout.
"Our customers have done the hard work of getting their media ingested in one place, properly tagged and ready to distribute anywhere," said Joshua Krakowsky, Head of Partnerships at ScorePlay. "For teams with remote editors, the next step is getting that footage into the edit without waiting on a download. LucidLink does that exceptionally well, and pairing the two puts any asset in ScorePlay one click from a remote editor's timeline."
"Sport moves faster than almost any workflow we support, where the window between capture and publish is measured in minutes. With ScorePlay the media arrives already organised, so our filespace puts it in front of every editor at once, nothing to download and nothing to duplicate.”stated David Mauer, VP, Global Partner Ecosystem of LucidLink
