Melbourne, Australia, 02.12.2026 - Tennis Australia has deployed ScorePlay at Australian Open 2026 to transform the way thousands of hours of videos and photos are ingested, managed and distributed throughout the event.

Across the Australian Open, more than a thousand matches are played on multiple courts, generating huge volumes of live broadcast footage, photography and archival content. Using ScorePlay, Tennis Australia has centralised all content into a single, secure platform, enabling faster, more accurate distribution to broadcasters, media outlets, commercial partners and players worldwide.

Each rights holder only views and downloads content included in their specific rights package, ensuring accurate and compliant distribution while significantly reducing manual coordination. Broadcasters and media partners log into ScorePlay to search, preview, and download approved assets, streamlining access across a complex global rights ecosystem.

ScorePlay is also supporting Tennis Australia’s social media operations, enabling live clipping from select program feeds during matches. This allows short-form content to be published faster, bringing fans closer to the action in near real time as the Australian Open unfolds.

The platform creates a unified content ecosystem across broadcast, digital, social and commercial teams, removing silos and providing a single source of truth. By replacing fragmented systems with one shared solution, Tennis Australia is enabling content to move seamlessly from court to fan at scale.

“With the scale and pace of the Summer of Tennis, speed and coordination are critical,” Machar Reid, Tennis Australia’s Head of Innovation, said. “ScorePlay provides a unified foundation that allows our teams, broadcasters and partners to access and distribute content efficiently, ensuring fans around the world don’t miss a moment.”

ScorePlay uses AI to accelerate workflows including logging, tagging, transcription, translation and search, dramatically reducing manual handling while preserving creative control for editors and producers.

“Our role is to use AI to remove friction and enhance creativity,” Victorien Tixier, ScorePlay’s Co-founder and CEO, said. “ScorePlay is the engine powering modern sports media operations. This collaboration with Tennis Australia is especially significant as we establish our Australian office to support the APAC region, and it’s exciting to see local broadcasters, digital teams and partners using the platform throughout the Australian Open.”

The collaboration with ScorePlay forms part of Tennis Australia’s broader innovation strategy, building a more connected, efficient and future-ready media ecosystem. It also reinforces Tennis Australia’s leadership in adopting and investing in emerging technology through its venture capital fund, AO Ventures, as it continues to set new benchmarks across global sport.
