Ortana builds Cubix, a workflow and orchestration platform used by broadcasters, leagues and media companies to join up the systems in their supply chain. With ScorePlay connected, Cubix handles the movement of media in and out of your library, so your team works with content instead of moving it.
What you can do
Bring media into ScorePlay from on-prem storage, a watch folder, an existing MAM or a cloud bucket
Pull from a capture source directly, whether SDI, SRT, RTMP, NDI, HLS or ST 2110
Migrate a full archive at the scale your infrastructure allows, from a handful of files to a petabyte
Archive assets out of ScorePlay to cloud or on-prem storage by setting a tag
Build a flow once and have it run on every new asset with no one watching it
See progress, cost and bandwidth in one dashboard while it runs
How it works with ScorePlay
Cubix talks to ScorePlay through the API in both directions. It pushes media in, and it reacts to webhooks from ScorePlay to move media out, retrieving assets through pre-signed URLs and writing status back to a tag when it is done. You authorise it with a ScorePlay API key and you decide what Cubix is allowed to reach. ScorePlay webhooks support basic auth, bearer token or none, so it fits whatever your security team requires.
Ortana runs the connection through a piece of software you install once, on your own machine or in your cloud, and then leave alone. It covers the whole ScorePlay API rather than a fixed set of calls, and Ortana configures workflows rather than writing bespoke scripts, so a new requirement is a configuration change and not a new build. You can run one instance or a thousand, which is why the same setup handles a single file and a full archive migration.
Setting it up is a guided flow rather than a project. You paste a ScorePlay API key, Cubix deploys and tests the connection, and you pick a template. Ortana puts that at three to four minutes end to end.
